Hand grenade attack, murder, arrests reported in Karachi
KARACHI: A hand grenade attack was hurled in Liaqatabad’s meat market and a man was shot dead in the city, SAMAA reports on Saturday. According to police, the incident took place early morning when attackers hurled the grenade towards market and fled from the scene.
According to witnesses, the attackers also opened fire on several shops, however, none was hurt.
A man was shot dead near Kala Pul while two others injured in firing incident occurred in different areas of the city.
On the other hand, at least 11 suspected people were arrested during an overnight targeted operation in the metropolis areas Manghopir and Surjani Town; firearms were also seized from their possession.
According to police sources, a targeted operation was launched in some areas of Manghopir and Surjani Town on a tip-off regarding the presence of suspected people. Police arrested 11 miscreants during the action late night.
