Islamabad: Police seeks DCO nod to exhume body
ISLAMABAD: The Bharakau police on Thursday filed an application with Deputy Commissioner Office, seeking order to exhume the dead body of SP’s daughter, who was raped and killed by accused couple Ibrar and his female accomplice, Zara Mahak. The accused couple is currently in jail for raping and killing an 11- year old, Shehzadi Bibi. During the investigation of Shehzadi’s case, they had also confessed of killing Sewara Bibi, daughter of SP, Hakim Khan, of Islamabad police, at Bharakau in November last year.
However, that time SP didn’t lodge any formal FIR of the incident. “We have filed an application with DC office for exhumation of Sewar’s dead body. Although, accused couple has confessed of killing her, but we have to complete all legal formalities,” said Sub Inspector, Mansoor Ahmed, who is investigating this case.
Shehzadi Bibi had gone missing from Margalla Valley Baharakau on February 13. She went for tuition in a nearby house of Zara Mehak (a BS Mass communication student of NUML) at around 1100 hours and didn’t return, he added.
Following the complaint of Shehzaid’s father against Zara Mehak, case was registered against her and during investigation police managed to reach the main accused, Ibrar Ahmed, who turned to be tutor’s boyfriend.
The couple also confessed that they had murdered Swera, who was class fellow of Zara at NUML. On this, Police registered another FIR (74 U/S 302/34 PPC dated 25.02.2013) against the couple. And now police is seeking DC’s permission to exhume Sewar’s dead body, buried at Bharakau.
