Lahore police arrest dacoit family’s members for over 300 robberies
LAHORE: Police have arrested two brothers, belonging to a dacoit family, for involvement in over 300 robberies during last 17 years in city, SAMAA reports. This dacoit family was successfully robbing people of their costly belongings including jewelry; cash other valuables in Lahore for last 17 years. One member of the dacoit family had been shot dead during a robbery, one has been awarded death penalty by the court, and the police sent another to jail.
Remaining two robber brothers, Qaiser and Faisal have been captured by the police on Thursday, who have confessed of over 300 successful robberies during their robbery career.
Police have recovered millions of rupees in cash, millions of rupees’ jewelry and weapons from custody of habitual career robbers on Thursday.
Search has been launched for two last remaining female family gang members, Kaniz Fatima (mother) and Naila (sister), by the police.
Both women dacoits used to provide full assistance to male dacoit members during robberies and police are facing great challenge in tracing them.
After identification march, the police will take robbers’ remand again as they expect of great revelation about robberies in the city.
