Islamabad: PMDC official booked for docs fake enrollment
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have booked Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) Registrar Dr Ahmad Nadeem Akbar and one of his subordinates for registering fake doctors, police said on Sunday. The Ramna Police registered FIR dated March 9,2012 against Dr Ahmad and one of his subordinates Yasir Iqbal, but till the filing of this report both the accused are at large and police is conducting raids to nab them.
The PMDC administration has been issuing fake and bogus medical registration to quacks. On Sunday, the administration through an advertisement in various newspapers cancelled registration of at least 34 quacks. Talking to The Nation, SHO Ramna Police Station that PMDC Assistant Secretary Dr Amjad Iqbal, in his application alleged that Registrar Dr Ahmed Nadeem and one of his subordinates Yasir gave certificated to number of fake doctors.“After deliberating over the application and accusation finally on Saturday we registered FIR.
