Islamabad: 1 arrested; wine, stolen property recovered
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested 11 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered mobile phones, weapons, wine and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. According to details, Aabpara police arrested four thieves, who were identified as Bilal, Khan Muhammad, Gul Islam and Asif, besides recovering stolen items from their possession.
ASI Muhammad Ghaus from Bhara Kahu Police Station arrested a man and recovered 20 wine bottles from him. Meanwhile, Sub–Inspector Mansoor Ahmad arrested another thief and recovered stolen valuables from him.
Police also arrested five accused, identified as Javed, Yousaf, Shoukat, Imaan, Farooq Haider and recovered two mobile phones and illegal weapons from them. Cases have been registered against the detained persons and further investigation is underway from them. Islamabad IGP Bani Amin Khan and Islamabad SSP Yaseen Farooq have appreciated the performance and of the police officials and directed high vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas to curb activities of anti–social elements.
