5 POs arrested from Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police Friday arrested five proclaimed offenders (POs) from various areas of the city, who were wanted to police in crime cases of various nature, a police spokesman said.
According to details, SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq directed SP (Investigation) Mustansar Feeroz to launch effective crackdown against absconders and ensure arrest of all such criminals. Following his directives, special teams including DSP CIA Zubair Ahmed Sjeikh and others were constituted which worked under his own supervision and arrested five proclaimed offenders. One of the nabbed proclaimed offenders, Latif-ur-Rehman alias Gul Shad s/o Khaista resident of Peshawar, was arrested by ASI Darya and team who was wanted to police in a case registered at Bhara Kahu police station.
Sub-Inspector Ashraf Azeem along with team arrested Sameer alias Sani s/o Raja Jameel resident of Dhok Hasu Rawalpindi who was at large despite FIR against him at Sabzi Mandi police station under sections 302, 392/411, 34 PPC.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zulfiqar and ASI Tanseem Ahmed along with team apprehended three proclaimed offenders Nasir, Ameer Zada and Noman Ejaz who were wanted to Shehzad Town police for their involvement in case no. 130/13 registered under sections 399/402 A-O 13/20 /65.
Police teams have started further investigation from them. SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this overall performance and directed all heads of police stations to ensure the arrest of criminals who are being at large and report to him on daily basis in this regard.
