Karachi: 30 suspects held in raids
KARACHI: Rangers claimed to have apprehended at least 30 suspects, including a local leader of banned outfit of Tehreek–e-Taliban Pakistan and an alleged target killer who was involved in 35 cases of killing on Friday. According to details, rangers found a tortured cell in first raid at Yousuf Goth, Baldia Town, where they managed to arrest 10 suspects, including a local leader of gang war Qasim alias Zubair Pathan who was involved in 35 cases of target killing. Rangers also recovered a huge cache of weapons.
In another targeted raid by rangers at Malir, Saudabad, Khokrapark, Gharibabad and Sohrab Goth, they managed to arrest 20 suspects, including the members of banned TTP. Weapons were also recovered from their possession. It is worth mentioning here that heavy contingent of rangers cordoned off the areas and restrained people for entry and exit during the operation. Lady searchers were also among the rangers during the operation.
