College principal gunned down in Karachi
KARACHI: A principal of local government college was gunned down in Karachi today, prompting teachers to announce closure of colleges across the Sindh on Tuesday, SAMAA reported Monday. Police said Professor Syed Sibtain was on his way on motorbike when unidentified armed men shot him dead near Sindhi Hotel, a busy market place in Liaqatabad area.
The deceased was serving as a principal of Government Degree College Liaqatabad, Qasimabad. Meanwhile, Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) announced to close colleges across the province on Tuesday in protest against their colleague’s murder in broad daylight.
