Karachi: 2 abducted traders recovered
KARACHI: Anti Violent Crime Cell claimed to have recovered two abducted traders while a kidnapper was killed during exchange of fire between police and kidnapers at Hub River Road on Wednesday. AVCC officials said that police on a tip off conducted a raid at a house situated at Hub River Road. Police cordoned off the house while culprits resorted to indiscriminate firing on the police party.
In retaliation, a kidnapper sustained bullet injuries and died on the spot while four of them escaped from the scene under the cover of firing. Police recovered two abducted traders namely Abdullah and Fahim from the captivity of the kidnappers and also recovered a Kalashnikov and TT pistol from the house. The officials said that the culprits’ identification had yet to be ascertained while further investigation was underway.
Police said that the traders were kidnapped a week ago from Shershah and Mochko area.
Meanwhile, rangers claimed to have apprehended at least 15 suspects including five political workers during targeted raid in Musharaf Colony area of Mangopir. According to Rangers, weapons were also recovered from their possession.
