Karachi: Rangers arrest 38 suspects
KARACHI: Rangers on Wednesday claimed to have apprehended at least 38 suspects including gangsters and those affiliated with political parties during separate targeted raids. About 20 suspects were taken into custody during targeted raids in parts of Lyari including Jumman Shah, Kashti Chowk, Gul Mohammad Lane, Kalakot, Singu Lane, Aath Chowk and Phool Patti Lane. The entire localities were cordoned off during the operations and no one was allowed to go in or out during the operation.
Sniffer dogs were also along with the Rangers personnel during the operation. The law enforcers also claimed to have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunitions from the grave situated outside the residence of notorious Lyari gangster, Noor Mohammad aka Baba Ladla. It is pertinent to mention here that a political worker Manzur aka Lamba was also apprehended during a raid conducted at a sector office of the political party in Landhi area. The suspects were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
