Islamabad: 12 outlaws including 6 POs arrested
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police arrested 12 outlaws including six proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city wanted to police in crime cases of various nature, a police spokesman said on Sunday. According to details, Sub–Inspector Shoukat Mehmood from police station Bhara Kahu during patrolling arrested accused Karam Hussain and recovered 20 bottles wine from him. Meanwhile ASI Muhammad Nawaz from police arrested accused Showjaat Ali. Golra police during patrolling arrested accuse Baktawar Shah and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol along with 10 cartridges from him.
ASI Nawazaish Ali from Industrial Area police station arrested accused Nasir and recovered four bottles wine from him. ASI Nasir from Ramna police station arrested two accuse Abid Raza and Farooq Ahmad involved in theft. ASI Aurangziab from Sihala police station during patrolling arrested accuses Azahir Javid and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with three cartridges from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Meanwhile, Aabpara and CIA and Golra police stations also arrested six Proclaimed offenders. Inspector General of police Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this overall performance and directed all heads of police stations to ensure the arrest of anti-social elements and report to him on daily basis in this regard. Meanwhile, Rawalpindi Police have arrested 14 lawbreakers from different localities of the district.
According to police spokesman, the district police recovered 365 grams charras, nine bottles of liquor, five pistols 30 bore with 97 rounds, one pistol 9mm with 13 rounds, 100 rounds of 12 bore gun, 200 rounds of 9mm pistol, 120 rounds of Kalashnikov and a stolen motorcycle from the possession of the accused. Pirwadhai police netted accused Qayyum with 155 grams charras while accused Jahanzaib was held for having 210 grams charras. Rattaamral police sent behind the bars accused Afzal as five bottles of liquor were recovered from him. Gujar Khan police apprehended accused Zulfiqar for having three liquor bottles.
