Bahawalpur: Waran’s bail cancelled in fake degree case
BAHAWALPUR: District and Sessions Judge Syed Hamid Hussain Shah cancelled the bail of PPP former MNA Aamer Yar Waran in the fake degree case after the police failed to arrest him. Earlier on Wednesday, the district and sessions judge had issued the warrants for former MNA after Justice Sardar Shamim Ahmad Khan of the Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench dismissed his revision petition in the case. The court ordered the Cantonment police to arrest the accused and produce him in court at 3pm.
Cantt SHO Irfan Akbar Khan told court that they could not arrest the accused despite repeated raids on his residence in Bahawalpur and his native town Dhore Kot. At this, the court cancelled his bail which was granted to him on March 21. Meanwhile, the court summoned the guarantors of the bail. He also ordered to display the arrest warrants on the residence of the accused. He again ordered Cantonment police to arrest the accused and produce him on Thursday.
