Rawalpindi: 5-member gang of robbers busted
RAWALPINDI: The Airport Police have busted a five–member gang of robbers, which was active in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Jhelum, and recovered arms and ammunition from their hideout, police said. A team of the Airport Police Station, headed by Sub–Inspector Gultaj, conducted a raid on the hideout of the gang at Ghaziabad in the wee hours of Monday and arrested six men with arms and ammunition.
The arrested men were identified as Mohammad Tanvir, son of Mohammad Rafique, resident of Kalu Khurd, Hazro, Attock; Awais Amjad, son of Amjad Rehman, Nai Abadi, Dhoke Mukarram, Jhelum; Tahir Iqbal, son of Mohammad Iqbal, resident of Nia Mohallah, Eidgah Road, Jhelum; Islam Gul, son of Sher Khan, resident of Chota Lahore, Swabi; and Mohammad Shakil, son of Mohammad Yousaf, resident of Kalar Syedan. Police have started investigation from them.
