Karachi police confine affluent outlaw with aides for assaulting fellows in DHS
KARACHI: Showing rare courage against an affluent outlaw, the police confined him and his aides for torturing fellows including SHO in Karachi’s posh area, Defense Housing Society (DHS), SAMAA reports. Normally police avoids any action against affluent and well–connected people but they turned furious after torture on SHO Sohail Ahmad and constables Aslam, Dilawar and Farid Abbas in DHS on Tuesday. They used their legal power and confined the outlaw and his aides in the lockup fearlessly to teach him lesson for torturing police officials in uniform.
The tortured SHO, Sohail Ahmad, informed that one retired captain, Sheharyar Durrani and another person, Farooq’s cars collided in Khayaban–e–Ittehad of DHS. When police reached on the spot to inquire about the incident, Sheharyar Durrani tortured all officials with help of his guards, he added.
The police officials turned furious on their assault and locked them up after bringing to police station. Amongst the arrested persons were included Rashid, Shahbaz, Capt (retd) Sheharyar, Fasih-ur-Rehman, Muhammad Ashraf Zehri and Abdul Rehman Zehri.
Medico–legal report of all tortured police officials has been taken from Jinnah Hospital and that describes that the police officials sustained severe injuries in the assault, informed SP Clifton.
