Islamabad: Man arrested in stepbrother’s murder case
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Thursday arrested a man who had allegedly killed his stepbrother last month in a suburb of the federal capital. Police claimed that Farzand Ali, the alleged murderer of his stepbrother, confessed the two crimes in police custody. According to details, Mohammad Zaman was found buried in the woods after he was allegedly tortured and murdered by his stepbrother. Zaman, who had not been seen since a couple of days until police discovered his body, was buried under woods in an under-construction house situated in phase 10 of Ghauri Town of Islamabad on March 30 last in the jurisdiction of Koral police Station.
The police registered case no. 81/13 under section 302, 34 PPC against unknown accused and started the investigation into case. A police team working under supervision of SHO Koral police station including Sub–Inspector Muhammad Arshad and others traced the killer identified as Farzand Ali, stepbrother of the deceased.
The accused confessed killing of Zaman Ali after developing differences with him over a property dispute. Meanwhile, Sub–Inspector Sher Ahmad from Tarnol police station arrested five persons Sohail Aktar, Gull Siraj, Riasat, Basheer Ahmed and Nadeem involved in murder of Ghulam Rasool. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Tasneem from Golra police station also arrested two accused Ghulam and Allah Dad involved in murdering Safdar Iqbal.
