Burewala: Lawyer, 11 others booked
BUREWALA: The Model Town Police registered cases against a lawyer and 11 others for occupying property owned by a late MPA’s family and attacking policemen here the other day. Reportedly, Dr Nazir Ahmad Mithu Dogar’s son Muhammad Ibrahim Dogar, daughters Noor Fatima and Noor Hir and legal heir Zulfiqar Ahmad Wattoo, resident of Chak 447/EB, filed an application with the Model Town Police that seven people had allegedly occupied their residential plot situated in Warraich Town.
The police registered a case against the accused and went to the site to get vacated. However, when the police reached the spot, the accused started pelting stones on the policemen while accused Mudassar, son of Tariq along with his 16 accomplices torn off the uniform of Constable Muhammad Iqbal and injured Muhammad Rizwan of the Muhafiz Squad.
The Model Town Police registered another case against the lawyer and property dealer Khalid Mahmood Advocate and 11 others persons, namely Tariq Mahmood, Khalid Mahmood, Mudassar, Muhammad Yaseen, Muhammad Tanvir, Munir Ahmad, Hafiz Shafique, Ishtiaq Ahmad, Zaffar Iqbal, Tariq Hussain Sherazi, Dilshad, Muzammil, Muhammad Siddique and their eight unidentified accomplices. Later, the police arrested 11 accused and sent them behind the bars. Meanwhile, the Teshil Bar Association observed a complete strike against the police.
