Rawalpindi: Bid to smuggle heroin to Saudi Arabia foiled
RAWALPINDI: The Anti–Narcotics Force (ANF) in another operation at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA), Islamabad, recovered heroin being transported to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, the ANF sources said. The Anti-Narcotics Force received information that narcotics will be smuggled to Saudi Arabia from Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad.
Acting upon the information ANF officials while checking the luggage of a Saudi–bound passenger, namely Muhammad Imran, son of Amir Bakhsh, resident of Mailsi, District Vehari, recovered one kilogram of heroin. He was scheduled to fly by Kuwait Airline flight No. KU–206. Drugs were tactfully concealed in the secret cavities of his trolley bag. The accused has been arrested on the spot. A case under section CNS Act–1997 has been registered.
