Islamabad: Fake soft drinks recovered, 2 held
ISLAMABAD: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), busting a factory of fake soft drinks, recovered a huge quantity of soft drink bottles of international companies and arrested two owners of the factory, the CIA Police said. “It was, actually, a poultry farm, but undercover an illegal soft drink factory was being run,” police added.
A team of CIA, headed by DSP (CIA) Zubair Shaikh, upon receiving information that a group of influential people was running a factory of fake soft drinks, conducted a raid in Tarnol, which was apparently a poultry farm and recovered thousands of bottles of international soft drink companies, with chemicals, powder, stickers, solution and sugar. The CIA arrested two owners of the fake factory identified as Ibrar and Nauman and registered a case against them.
