Karachi: Hamza murder case: Physical remand of accused extended
KARACHI: The physical remand of the two accused in the Hamza Ahmed murder case has been extended till May 6. The Judicial Magistrate while extending the physical remand ordered that the accused Shoaib Naveed and Mushtaq will remain in police custody. During proceedings, the lawyer for Shoaib told the court that his client was an O’Level student and had to give his exams and thus his remand should not be given.
Meanwhile, outside the city court the family of Hamza Ahmed said they were hopeful that the Chief Justice of Pakistan and courts would provide them justice.
Sixteen year old Hamza was gunned down by the guard of another student Shoaib in the Defence area of Karachi. Hamza and Shoaib had gotten into an altercation over a girl and had met outside a local restaurant to resolve the matter. The two failed to resolve their differences after Hamza allegedly slapped Shoaib, whose guard later shot and killed Hamza.
