Peshawar: ‘171 outlaws held in KP’
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have claimed to round up 171 criminals, including 55 proclaimed offenders (POs) during a targetted operation against the anti–social elements in the province. An official handout issued by the Police Department said the operation was being carried out on the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief.
It added that the ongoing action was being conducted on a daily basis throughout the province during which 171 criminals, including 55 proclaimed offenders have been arrested so far. It said that the arms and ammunition recovered included 16 Kalashnikov rifles, 10 Kalakov rifles, 29 rifles, 30 short–guns, 84 pistols, 300 hand–grenades, 16 magazines and 4704 cartridges of different bores.
