Karachi: Rangers take 36 suspects into custody
KARACHI: Rangers claimed to have arrested around three dozens criminal suspects during different targeted raids and operations across the metropolis here on Wednesday. According to details, Rangers’ officials said that the raids were conducted in various parts of the city including Badia Town, Miran Naka, Machar Colony, Kimari, Model Colony, Itehad Town, Frontier Colony, Kunwari Colony, Orangi, Safora Chowrangi, Pahar Gunj and Sajan Goth.
Spokesman of Rangers further said that the arrests were made during door–to–door search operation. Large number of Rangers personnel participated in the operation while the entire localities were cordoned off during the operation hours, he said.
On the other hand, heavy snap checking was also conducted in Lasbella Chowk, Quaidabad, Tanki Chowk, Shah Faisal Colony and University road.
Rangers’ spokesman claimed to have nabbed around three dozen suspects which were taken into custody and moved to undisclosed places for interrogation. He also stated that 52 weapons of different calibers including SMGs, Rifles and mixed ammunitions were also recovered from the possession of these criminal elements.
