Bid to smuggle heroin foiled in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered a consignment of three kilograms of heroin powder being transported to Europe and arrested a passenger hailing from Gujrat from Benazir Bhutto International Airport here on Tuesday, an ANF spokesman said. Mohammad Imran, son of Mohammad Inayat, hailing from District Gujrat (Passport No. TR–0158751), was proceeding to Italy via Muscat by flight WY–326. On his arrival at the ANF Counter at 11 a.m., he was checked. On search, the ANF staff recovered three kilograms of heroin powder packed in packets of sweets.
