Fraudster arrested in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Police arrested a Nigerian fraudster who deprived people of thousands of dollars and recovered $50,000 from his possession, the police spokesman said. The Nigerian identified as Oefforra, used to defraud people on the pretext of “cleaning” dollars by photosynthesis, police said adding that recently he deprived Qaiser of $57,000.
He has been traced by his mobile phone number. An amount of $50,000 was recovered from him. Police said that Oefforra has valid visa. He has been living in Lahore and often came to Islamabad to cheat people. Police added that the Nigerian has been booked under relevant laws by the Kohsar Police Station.
SP City awarded a commendation certificate and a cash prize to ASI Siddique and other team members, the police spokesman said.
