Rawalpindi: Bid to smuggle 8kg heroin foiled
RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), foiling an attempt to smuggle a huge consignment of narcotics to European countries, recovered 8 kilograms of heroin from a passenger at Benazir Bhutto International Airport here on Tuesday.
The ANF sources said that the passenger, identified as Abdul Qayyum, son of Said Muhammad, hailing from Gujranwala (bearing passport number KG–878004), was leaving for Greece through a Qatar Airways flight. They said that he was intercepted by the ANF personnel at their counter on information and recovered 8 kilograms of heroin from his bag. He was shifted to the ANF Investigation Cell for further investigation.
