TOBA TEK SINGH: Kamalia police arrested a seven–member gang involved in transportation of narcotics and recovered from them four maund Hashish worth Rs50 million. DSP Rana Ghulam Murtaza and his team had raided a van in which four women and three men of a family from Lahore were travelling.
KARACHI: Rangers claimed to have held at least five Tehreek–e-Taliban Pakistan operatives and recovered explosives during a targeted operation in Muzaffarabad Colony, Landhi here Tuesday. Being tipped off, Rangers personnel raided the suspects’ hideout in Muzaffarabad Colony and arrested six accused, recovering two suicide jackets, three hand–grenades, cement bombs and other ammunitions from their possession.
PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday conducted raids in various parts of the province to arrest main culprits allegedly involved in more than Rs2.50 billion fraud case.
BAHAWALPUR: The district police claimed to have smashed three bike–lifters’ gangs and recovered 32 motorcycle from their possession. Addressing a press conference, Bahawalpur DPO Sohail Habib Tajik said that in view of the rising motorcycle theft, two teams, one each in Hasilpur and Bahawalpur, were tasked with busting the gangs.

Price Control Magistrates got arrested 15 shopkeepers involved in overcharging and recovered fines.
LAHORE: The CIA on Monday claimed to have arrested four terrorists for killing 10 under–training jail officials and injuring another 22 a year ago. The arrested also confessed to unleashing an attack on Army men in Gujrat. On a tip-off, the CIA nabbed them near Minar-e-Pakistan and recovered two Kalashnikovs , 50 rounds and four hand grenade from them.
BAHAWALPUR: A police team led by DSP (Investigation) Kanwar Qasim Ali busted a gang and recovered gold ornaments and Rs12.328 million from them. The criminal gang was active under leadership of woman gangster Rawaida Bibi, wife of Muhammad Arshad, a resident of Joyia Kehror Pacca. The police team recovered 4-kg gold ornaments and Rs12.328 millions from them.
MANSEHRA: The Anti–Terrorist Squad has arrested a man allegedly involved in attacks on the office of Plan International and World Vision and killing their staff members. The squad, led by sub–inspectors Mohammad Ihtesham and Zia Ahmad, arrested Mohammad Amjad in Nawansher area.
KARACHI: Two infamous target killers along with seven other criminals have been detained with weapons during a targeted operation in Patel Para, said the Pakistan Rangers–Sindh on Monday. Around 300 soldiers of the paramilitary force, including commandos and female personnel, blocked the roads leading to Patel Para and conducted a door–to–door search in the locality.
