Burewala: Fleeing car-snatchers re-arrested
BUREWALA: The car thieves, who had fled from the City police lock–up a week ago, were re–arrested after a week. The accused were identified as Tasawar Hussain and Muhammad Iqbal Sahu and three cars from them. They were involved in tampering with the papers of the stolen cars and later selling them in the market.
On July 2, both accused had fled from the City police station and the Vehari DPO had suspended five policemen, including Sub–Inspector Muhammad Asif Chohan and others. On a tip-off, City SHO Malik Ijaz Ahmad arrested both the accused when they were fleeing to tribal areas. The police produced them in the court of a magistrate who remanded them for three days.
