CIA catch hitmen in Lahore
LAHORE: Crimes Investigations Agency or CIA police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested 22 accused persons involved in multiple murders. A police spokesperson said that the arrested persons were involved in the firing incident at the emergency ward of the Jinnah Hospital two months ago. They had shot dead their opponent Kashif Abbas when he was being treated in the emergency ward with bullet injuries.
The gunmen had escaped from the crime scene. They had also created lawlessness like situation as they opened indiscriminate fire in the public hospital. The police also arrested four persons who killed two under–trail accused and wounded another two during gunfire in the court of additional session judge about a month ago.
Officials said that Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Chaudhry Shafique Ahmad took notice of the deadly and brazen gun attacks at the sensitive areas and ordered the CIA police to arrest to accused persons at the earliest.
SP CIA Muhammad Umar Virk constituted special police teams headed by DSP CIA Kotwali Khalid Abu Bakar, which raided in various parts of the city and arrested the killers. Further investigation is underway.
