Faisalabad: 6 peddlers arrested, drugs seized
FAISALABAD: Police Thursday claimed to have arrested six people including three women and recovered 6.5–kilo heroin, 940–kilo Charas and liquor. Rana Azeem, SP (organised crime), while talking to journalists said CIA Faisalabad started a crackdown on narcotic traffickers on the orders of CPO Abdur Razzaq Cheema. A CIA team headed by DSP Anjum Kamal raided an area and arrested Ms Nusrat Bibi of Chak 214 RB and Pervaiz Iqbal of Chak 583 GB and recovered two kilo and 800 grams of heroin.
Another team, headed by Bashir Ahmad, conducted a raid on Shaheed Road area and arrested Ms Rabia Basri of Chak 149 JB and Ms Fatima Ali and recovered two kilo and 317 gram heroin. Smuggler Haq Nawaz managed to escape. Yet in another raid, police arrested Asif of Sir Syed Town while accused Munazza managed to flee. The raiding party recovered one kilo and 419 gram heroin. In another raid on Ch Flour Mills Road Usman of Gurunanak Pura was arrested and bottles of liquor were recovered from him. The raiding party recovered 760 gram Charas from Mumtaz Qaiser of Chak 60 while 1 kilo and 190 gram Charas was also recovered from Zeeshan of Mohallah Fateh Abad.
