KARACHI: The Anti–Narcotics Force arrested two drug smugglers and confiscated over 564 kilograms of illegal drugs on Thursday. An ANF team spotted a Suzuki Mehran without a registration plate near the Toll Plaza on the Super Highway.

KARACHI: Police arrested seven illegal Afghan immigrants, SAMAA reports on Friday. According to police, the Afghan nationals were illegally staying in the city without travel documents. A case was registered against the accused under Foreign Act and would be presented in the court, the police added. On the other hand, the arrested Aghan people said that that recently came to Pakistan and could not get registration yet.
GUJRANWALA: Garjakh police arrested two brothers on the charges of beating an anti–polio team here on Thursday. The anti–polio team comprising Medical Officer Shahid Zaman and area in–charge Muhammad Hanif came to a house at Malikpura and asked Imran Sohail and his brother Amir Sohail to get their child vaccinated against the disease.
PAKPATTAN: An ASI was booked for taking bribe from an employee of forest department. Five accused including ASI Shafiq had arrested Allah Yar of Chak–97–EB and shut him in a lockup. Later, the ASI released him after taking Rs 20,000 bribe. He was booked on court order.
LAHORE: At leat 20 meter readers of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) along with their accomplices involved in power theft have been arrested by police. The government of Punjab had decided to take action against power thieves present inside the department by initiating raids against meter readers in different areas of Lahore.
