Karachi: ACLC arrests two wanted car thieves
KARACHI: The Anti–Car Lifting Cell arrested two men, accused in numerous car theft cases, in a raid conducted within the Jamshed Quarters jurisdiction on Monday. According to SSP Munir Ahmed, five stolen vehicles, five CNG kits and weapons were recovered in the raid, which was carried out on a tip-off by an informant.
The arrested men, namely Tehseen alias Asif alias Asif Burger and Mubarak Ali, offered resistance initially and opened fire at the raiding team. However, the ACLC unit eventually managed to outgun the duo and shifted them to the investigations cell for interrogation.
SSP Munir revealed that the men were wanted by various police stations of Karachi, with two FIRs lodged against them in the Darakhshan police station and one each in Ferozabad and Shah Faisal police stations.
Moreover, one of the held men, Tehseen, is also wanted in a case registered at the Brigade police station, and was also previously involved in two armed encounters with the police.
