4 alleged rapists of 2 sisters held in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The police Tuesday claimed to have arrested four young men for allegedly kidnapping and raping two sisters.
Akhtar Gul, station house officer Michini Gate Police Station, told reporters that Mohammad Zaman, Rashid, Salim and Said Akbar were arrested for kidnapping the two sisters, taking them to a house in Hayatabad and raping them for five days. The four accused are friends and live in Hayatabad, Shami Road and Warsak Road.
Police said the two sisters were thrown on the road unconscious after five days captivity. The officials said raids were conducted and the four youths were arrested after they were pointed out by the victim girls.
Their father told the police that his daughters were on way to see their ailing mother when they were kidnapped. He added that they were found lying unconscious on the roadside after five days.
The accused, however, claimed that they had met the two girls during Ramazan and had exchanged cellular phone numbers. The accused claimed a few days back the girls came to see them and said they had left their home as their parents were forcing them to marry against their will.
The accused youth claimed they kept the girls in a house on their request and none of them had raped them. Police officials, however, said the medical examination of the girls was carried out and it proved that the girls had been raped. But the accused said they weren’t medically examined. They insisted they had nothing to do with the rape of the girls.
