Karachi: 21 arrested in overnight targeted operations
KARACHI: At least 21 suspected miscreants including workers of political parties were arrested during the overnight targeted operations in different areas of the metropolis, SAMAA reported Tuesday.
Moving on a tip-off regarding the presence of criminals, Brigade police raided a house in AB Senia resulting in an armed encounter in which two miscreants were injured. But, police asserted both the injured fled along with their accessories.
At least four pistols, 2 repeaters and many bullets were recovered from the house during the search.
Meantime, the paramilitary force raided Jamshed Quarters and held four suspected people.
The rangers also conducted targeted operation in 400 Quarters, Gulbahar and searched several houses and hotels.
The paramilitary troopers raided Gulshan-e-Iqbal’s 13D and apprehended five suspected people.
At least six miscreants including three Lyari war–gangsters have been rounded up from Lyari. Meanwhile, Surjani Town police claimed to have arrested at least three miscreants involved in street crimes and seized their weapons after an exchange of gunfire.
