59 more ‘criminals’ arrested in Karachi
KARACHI: In their ongoing crackdown against criminals, police rounded up 59 more alleged criminals, including target killing suspects, on Wednesday.
SSP East Pir Mohammad Shah told The News that the PIB Colony police arrested an absconder, Hassan Zada alias Topi after an encounter near Sabzi Mandi. He was found in possession of a pistol.
The police official said Hassan was wanted in eight cases of robbery, possession of weapons and encounter by the PIB Colony police station.
Separately, the Korangi police arrested Ilyas alias Chippa, Furqan and Hameed in a raid on Link Road near Pulia, Korangi. Two TT pistols were seized in the raid. The spokesperson for the East Range police they had rounded up 52 criminals, including a proclaimed offender, and three absconders.
