Islamabad: 1,250 bottles of liquor, 200 litres alcohol seized
ISLAMABAD: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has recovered 1,250 wine bottles, 200-litre alcohol, brewing equipment, empty cans and bottles of wine in raids on two houses in Dhoke Paracha and Mohallah Usmania, the police spokesman said.
The CIA police got information about huge cache of wine bottles concealed at a house in Dhoke Paracha after which SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas constituted a special police team headed by DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon including Sub–Inspector Muhammad Tehseen, ASI Muhammad Mursaleen and other police officials.
The team raided the house and recovered 200 wine bottles besides arresting a bootlegger, Shahid Shehzad, son of Shaukat Zaman, resident of Dhoke Miskeen, Hassanabdal. During preliminary investigation, the accused said that the brewing equipment and more alcohol were concealed at the house of Muhammad Faisal in Mohallah Usmania.
