Peshawar: Bid to smuggle hashish foiled
PESHAWAR: The police foiled a bid to smuggle 200 kilograms of hashish and arrested one person on Wednesday. A press release said a party of the Regi Police Station stopped a mini–truck coming from tribal areas.
During search, it added, the cops recovered 200 kilograms of hashish from its secret cavities. An alleged smuggler Khurshid of Daudzai was arrested. The press release added the University Town Police Station during the driver against suspects rounded up 317 persons during the last one month. The arrested persons included 11 illegal Afghan refugees.
