Karachi: 107 suspects nabbed by LEAs
KARACHI: Law enforcers during their ongoing drive against criminals held around 107 suspects on Saturday. In the first episode, Pakistan Rangers Sindh apprehended 15 hardened criminals during separate targeted raids from different areas in the metropolis.
As per Rangers‘ spokesperson, Rahimabad, Korangi, Samama Shopping Center, Bhatiaabad, Gharibabad, Malir, Zia Colony, Mehran Town, Jamali Goth, Manghopir, Orangi, Pathan Colony, Frontier Colony, Dhobi Ghat and Singholane were raided, where officials also recovered weapons from the suspects’ custody. Moreover, Karachi police arrested around 88 criminals during separate targeted raids and operations. The arrests were made during 63 raids and eight encounters, in which weapons of 23 different types of calibres were also recovered. Police arrested 88 criminals, including 11 absconders, 14 carrying illicit weapons, four drug peddlers, 15 burglars, seven target killers and 29 others. Separately, Sohrab Goth police detained an alleged suspect Ahmed, after an exchange of firing at Super Highway, while an accomplice of the detainee managed to escape. A TT pistol was also recovered from the possession of the detainee. Similarly, Korangi Industrial Area police nabbed two suspects Noor Nabi and Nasir Bengali and recovered two TT pistols and drugs from their possession. Shershah police took another suspect into custody in an encounter. A weapon was also recovered from the possession of suspect, identified as Majid Ali, police added.
