Quetta: FC men raid bomb-making factory, seize explosives
QUETTA: Paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) Saturday thwarted a major plot to carry out terrorist attacks in Quetta and other parts of the country.
According to FC officials, security forces raided a bomb-making factory and seized tons of explosives, suicide vests and dozens of mines. The factory was located at Toba Achakzai in Chaman.
They said that 15, 000 IED remote devices, 172 IC electric sticks, six electric caters, 40 meter IC wire, 5 kg ball bearing and eight safety fuses were recovered from the factory.
In addition, they seized 150 switches, 1300 electric circuits, bundles of illumination lights, urea bags, 500 KG Potassium chloride, and different equipments.
Officials say that explosives had been brought from a neighboring country and were to be used in terror attacks in Quetta and other cities.
