Islamabad: 3 gangs of dacoits busted
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have busted three gangs involved in several dacoities and recovered millions of rupees looted articles including vehicles, bikes, mobile phones, laptops, and jewellery, the police spokesman said.
Arrested accused were also found involved in dissembling the stolen vehicles and selling their parts in the area of Mohallah Chaah Sultan, Rawalpindi, the police said. They also confessed looting the PSO Petrol Pump of I-9 depriving its guard of 12 bore Repeater gun and money.
The Superintendent of Police Industrial Area, Saddar and Investigation Wing constituted teams to make a crackdown against the criminals. The arrested gangsters have been identified as Naeem Khan son of Wahid Khan resident of Mohmand Agency, Zafar son of Shehzad resident of Mohmand Agency, Muhammad Pervez son of Arab Khan resident of Rawalpindi, Zahidullah son of Muhammad Hayat resident of District Kohat, Abdul Jabbar son of Aitbar Khan, resident of Chaah Sultan, Asad Mehmood son of Muhammad Faraz resident of District Abbottabad, Luqman son of Khair Muhammad, resident of Qasimabad, Rawalpindi, Aqib Jhangir son of Muhammad Jahangir, resident of Pandora Rawalpindi, Sheraz Ahmed Khan son of Zahid Khan, resident of district Mardan, Muhammad Asif son of Muhammad Ayub, resident of Chaah Sultan, Rawalpindi, Muhammad Shehbaz son of Muhammad Iqbal, resident of Dhoke Syedain, Rawalpindi, Ali Gul Khan son of Shehzad Khan, resident of Chaah Sultan, Rawalpindi, Wahid Gull son of Mir Gull, resident of sector 1-9/1 Islamabad and Shehbaz Wali, resident of Afghanistan.
During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in several dacoities and street crimes in the area of ICT Islamabad and also in Rawalpindi. They also admitted looting pedestrians at gunpoint in various areas of Islamabad.
