Law-enforcers in Karachi arrest 160 suspects
KARACHI: Law enforcers arrested 160 more suspects, including members of banned outfit, target killers and gangsters in the ongoing–targeted operation across the city on Sunday.
As per details, Pakistan Rangers Sindh detained around 48 criminals including members of an outlawed terrorist organisation, target killers and gangsters from Orangi Town, Al-Asif Square, Mehran Town, Bakhtawar Goth, Essa Nagri, Guslhan-e-Ghazi, Firdos Colony, Pirabad and Lyari.
According to Rangers spokesman, paramilitary force during the targeted raids also recovered different calibers of arms from their custody. The detainees were shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning, he added.
Separately, Karachi police claimed to have apprehended around 95 criminals, including one terrorist, five robbers, 19 absconder, and three target killers, whereas 17 were detained for possessing illicit weapons and five for having narcotics.
The arrests were made during 94 separate raids and four encounters in various parts of the metropolis. The official also claimed to have recovered hand grenades, 48 pistols and 26 shotguns from their possession.
