Karachi: 129 criminals nabbed by LEAs
KARACHI: Law enforcers claimed to have apprehended around 129 criminals during separate targeted raids and operations conducted across the city on Saturday. Karachi police arrested 100 criminals during 99 raids in various parts of the metropolis.
Their spokesman said that of the 100, 17 were caught for possessing illegal weapons and 23 for narcotics, while the rest included 22 absconders, two target killers, three robbers and two extortionists. 18 weapons of different calibers were also recovered from their possession. On the other hand Rangers arrested 29 criminals from Ali Muhammad Brohi Goth, Sara Goths – Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Nital Colony, Mushki Para, Gulshan-e-Ghazi, Fareed Colony, Baghdadi, Chakiwara, Jublee Koh-e-Noor Market and PIB Colony areas. While on a tip-off, Rangers arrested two injured extortionists after an exchange of fire in Usmanabad area. Snap checking was carried out in Chowrangi, Golimar and Manghopir Road areas.
