Islamabad: 4 TTP men arrested, 130kg explosives seized
ISLAMABAD: Hours after the deadly attack in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, police on Monday arrested four suspected Taliban terrorists from a suburban area of the federal capital and seized a huge quantity of explosives from them.
According to reports, police on a tip-off made raided a house located in Tarnol and seized more than 130kg explosives, which were to be used in terror activities. Police also arrested four suspected terrorists from the same house. The arrested suspects belong to the banned terror outfit, TTP, officials said. The terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation, while their identities were being kept secret. Hours before, as many as 13 people, including five army men, were killed in a suicide attack near the GHQ in Rawalpindi. The attack came a day after a car bomb blast in Bannu, in which more than 20 soldiers died. Security was tightened in the capital city as well as other major cities of the country after the Rawalpindi attack.
