26 Afghan refugees among 139 held in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The police along with other security personnel during a joint search operation in Karkhano Market rounded up 139 persons, including 26 Afghan refugees, on Wednesday.
Police said several markets were searched during the operation. A large number of police commandoes supported by the bomb disposal unit experts and sniffer dogs participated in the operation. An official said the arrested Afghan nationals didn’t have documents legalising their stay in Pakistan.
