Rawalpindi: 43 Afghans held in operation against illegal foreigners
RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Police have detained 43 suspects, including 13 Afghan nationals, from various localities of the city during a drive against foreigners illegally residing in the country, the City Police Office said here on Tuesday.
A comprehensive search operation was conducted in the jurisdictions of Sadiqabad, New Town, Pirwadhai, RA Bazaar and Sadar Bairuni police stations, the police spokesman said. He said that personnel of Rawalpindi Police, Special Branch and Elite Force participated in the operation and searched 256 houses, 70 hotels and 530 people and arrested 43 suspects, including 13 Afghan nationals. Police also recovered 3 stolen motorcycles and weapons during the search operation.
