Terror suspect held in Peshawar; explosives recovered
PESHAWAR: Police arrested a suspected militant with alleged links with a defunct outfit and recovered explosive material from his possession on Tuesday.
According to police, the suspect was identified as Adil and he is an expert in bomb making. Three types of explosive materials, 18 receivers, two remote controls, ball bearings, five mobile phones and two 9-volt batteries were recovered from the suspected militant. The suspect had two passports and a motorcycle registration document in his possession.
The suspect was arrested from the Nishtarabad area of Peshawar and he belongs to Badaber village. Meanwhile, SP cantonment Faisal Kamran has directed all property dealers and public renters to submit attested copies along with testaments to concerned police station which aimed to identify the suspected persons who has rented rooms in Peshawar for subversive activities.
He stressed upon the masses to cooperate with police in this connection and submit their complete data up to March 06, 2014.
