2 persons recovered, 5 kidnappers held in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The local police during a raid on a flourmill near the Budhni village recovered a kidnapped person and arrested three alleged kidnappers.
Another person kidnapped from Lakki Marwat district was also recovered in another action in the Urmar village.
The superintendent of police (SP) Rural Rahim Shah told reporters one Khalid was kidnapped by five armed men from the limits of Chamkani Police Station on February 8.
The official said the kidnappers called Khalid to the place telling him that they were going to deliver some documents of his brother Sajjad, who was killed while serving in army a couple of years back.
The kidnappers were probably aware that the family might have got the compensation package after the death of Sajjad.
The SP Rural said the kidnappers were demand-ing Rs20 million from the family.
He added the kidnapped person was kept in a flourmill where raid was conducted and Khalid was recovered.
Three kidnappers Hassan Gul, Hayat Khan and Ibrahim were arrested.
Also, the cops raided another hideout in Urmar and recovered one Gul Zali who was kidnapped from Lakki Marwat.
The police said kidnapers were demanding Rs1.6 million for his release. Two of the accused persons were also arrested.
