1 held, gold recovered in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The police on Monday claimed to have solved a robbery case in which 62 tolas of gold ornaments were robbed from the house of a jeweller on Phandu Road a few days back.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Gulbahar Police Station, Mustafa Tanvir told reporters that one Jahangir Saraf had lodged a case that 62 tolas of gold, cash and valuables were looted from his house.
During investigation, it was found that a cousin of the complainant Kamran and his wife Munazza had planned the robbery with connivance of three professional robbers. The officials said 10 tolas of gold were recovered from the couple. Kamran was arrested while his wife has got a bail before arrest. The three robbers are still at large.
