Peshawar: Official arrested for fake allotment of state land
PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday arrested Hazrat Sher, an Official of Settlement Department of Mardan, who with the connivance of officials of Revenue Department Mardan and other accused, was allegedly involved in fake allotment of 162 Kanals state land valuing Rs16.2 million in Mardan district.
In an official communiqué issued, the NAB claimed that the accused got state land transferred in the name of one Said Akbar Shah through fake mutations and sold the same to various persons.
It said the accused despite repeated summons didn’t join investigations and thus one of the main accused was arrested from the office of an Additional District Commissioner, Mardan by the NAB team. The arrested accused will be produced before the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining his physical remand today.
