55 Afghans arrested in capital
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police conducted search operation in Machar Colony in Sector F-11/2 and arrested 55 Afghan nationals, the police spok–esman said on Monday.
IGP Islamabad directed all zonal heads and station house officers of police stations to conduct search operation in their respective areas. Following his directions, teams of Margallah and Shalimar police stations under supervision SP (Saddar) Muhammad Ilyas, SDPO Margallha, SHOs and lady police commandoes conducted search operation in Machar Colony in Sector F-11/2. the police team nabbed 55 Afghan nationals and cases have been registered against 14 Afghan nationals under Foreigner Act.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police nabbed nine other outlaws and recovered weapons from them. Senior officials of Islamabad police have directed to get the picture of each suspect, their mobile record and verify their identity.
