10 outlaws arrested in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested 10 outlaws, including five Afghans, involved in crime cases of heinous nature and recovered a snatched car, ammunition, cash and other stolen items from them, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
The SP (Saddar) constituted a team of Shalimar Police Station which succeeded in busting a gang of Afghans involved in dacoities and other crime incidents. The nabbed persons have been identified as Ajab Gul, Nizam Khan, Asmat, Zia ul Haq and Shamas Gul. Police recovered four pistols, ammunition, looted items and cash from them while they confessed to their involvement in dacoity incidents in the areas of Ramna and Golra police stations.
The Tarnol Police nabbed Shaukat Ali after recovery of a car (QA–309) lifted from Chenab Nagar, Chiniot, from him.
The Nilore Police nabbed Mazharab for having an iron fist. The Golra Police arrested Syed Murtaza Shah in possession of a 30–bore pistol, while Loi Bher Police apprehended Nurullah for possessing a 30-bore pistol.
During general hold-up, police impounded 81 motorbikes and two vehicles being driven without authentic documents while black sheets were removed from five vehicles.
AIG (Operations) Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri directed all SHOs to ensure effective patrolling measures and curb activities of anti–social elements.
