Karachi: Militants among 5 suspects rounded up
KARACHI: The Rangers conducted targeted raids in different parts of the city on Monday and arrested five suspects for their alleged involvement in heinous crimes.
A spokesman for the paramilitary force said raids were carried out in the Manghopir, Baldia, Peerabad and Mochko areas, where five suspects, including members of banned outfits, were arrested.
The Rangers also seized sub-machine guns (SMGs) and 15 kilograms of explosive materials while searching the suspects’ hideouts.
The paramilitary force conducted another raid in Ranchore Line. However, the suspects managed to escape, leaving behind a light machine gun and three SMGs.
